the Executive and Legislative Councils, and I presume that the Royal Warrants appointing Messrs Chater and Bell-Irving to the Executive
Council will reach me in
due
course, as well as the
signification of Her Majesty's
pleasure regarding the appointment of Mr. Wei-A-Yuk to the Legislative Council.
In the meanwhile, as the Legislative Council will probably not meet
again before November, I do not propose
to appoint Mr. Wei-A-Yuk provisionally;
